We are excited to unveil Issue 1 of The LIGHT (Leaders Igniting Generational Healing and Transformation) Magazine, a groundbreaking publication dedicated to exploring the intersection of art and public health. This first issue is a vibrant collection born from our inaugural crowdsourcing open call, where we asked: How might we recreate public health through art, letters, stories, and poetry?

Redefining Public Health Through Creative Expression

The theme of Issue 1 centers on the creative reinterpretation of public health. We invited contributors to submit work that reflects their unique perspectives on how public health can be expressed through artistic and literary forms. The result is a dynamic and diverse compilation of 42 authors and artists who have brought their innovative visions to life.

In this issue, you will find a rich collection of creative expressions. Notably, 14 artists have contributed over 40 complementary pieces of art, each carefully crafted to enhance and illuminate the written content selected for this edition. These artworks and stories together create a multi-dimensional exploration of public health, inviting readers to engage with the topic in new and thought-provoking ways.
